N2 - Bioplastics can provide opportunities to enhance products’ sustainability. However, practical use of bioplastics in products is still confined to niche markets. Based on a qualitative study in the consumer goods industry and informed by the Theory of Planned Behavior, this manuscript details the prerequisites for a more widespread adoption of bioplastics in the production processes of consumer products.
