Abstract

The participation of leading global companies in 5G and IoT system integration encourages the faster implementation and deployment of the latest technologies. Simultaneously developing a fifth-generation cellular network provides a framework to deploy large numbers of sensor nodes to capture data. Microsoft Azure manages the communication between IoT applications and devices with high security and reliability. Azure IoT Hub provides connectivity to virtually any device in the network using the Cloud-hosted solutions. It provides solutions for end-to-end architecture, from Cloud to the edge, with every device authentication, built-in device management, and provides scalability. Cloud IoT Core services provided by Google incorporation is a fully managed service that allows easy access and secured connection, management, and data are collected from billions of devices spread over the entire globe. The operational efficiency is supported by the IoT cloud platform and implementation of the 5G platform and other services like data collection from edge devices, processing and analyzing the captured data in the Cloud IoT Core, and visualization to enhance operational efficiency in real time. Amazon Web Services (AWS) spread to the edge of the IoT network and provides deep and broad functionalities to improve the overall performance. Therefore, it can connect to virtually any device in the network and provide relevant services. The devices can become more intelligent by integrating themselves with AWS services even without internet connectivity. This book chapter provides a comprehensive view of 5G and IoT system integration vendors.
