Clapping Music

Was invited by Dr. Roche to collaborate on the presentation of a musical and physical rhythmic exploration as a part of the CSU Department of Music Thursday Series. For this collaboration I discussed how dancers/choreographers, like musicians, can explore various possibilities of rhythmic phrasing through embodied and physicalized experiences. I directed participants through a movement exploration using simple movements through various patterns. I then demonstrated the music-dance relationship that movers/choreographers consider when choreographing or performing.
