Abstract
A previous study has introduced several parallel algorithms on meshes and pyramids for iconic indexing. The study also claimed that these algorithms are better than existing algorithms. As a comment to the previous study, the present study demonstrates that there are several problems in problem definitions and assumptions about the functionality of the architecture which make this comparison problematic.
