N2 - Our article will offer a reflection on the methodological innovations and challenges of a collaborative digital humanities project that contributes meaningfully to knowledge production and knowledge sharing in East Africa. It will focus on our three years of experience co-directing a partnership between our institution, Cleveland State University, and Maseno University in Kisumu, Kenya. The project, titled "Curating East Africa," is funded by a 2017-18 Digital Humanities Advancement Grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH).
