Abstract
Cleveland State University has forged a networked improvement community of institutional partners to advance an Education Park concept that integrates two fundamental areas of its impact as an urban anchor institution: a catalyst for physical development and galvanizing resource for addressing educational disparities. The Park is home to two public schools housed in existing and new facilities on University land, an Arts Campus that has included renovation of three historic buildings on Cleveland’s Playhouse Square, and a new building for medical education. As a result, CSU is poised to dramatically improve the quality of education in Cleveland’s urban core.
