Abstract

I gave a scholarly presentation on my banknote research in the Leonardo Manrique Colloquium at the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City in August. It traces the evolution of a colonial image of the defeated Aztec Emperor Moctezuma into an icon of nationalist triumph featured on an early Mexican banknote. Accepted for presentation after peer review, it could be developed into an article for peer-reviewed publication. A PDF copy is attached. The treatment is very scholarly and could be developed into a peer-reviewed publication. In Spanish.
