Abstract
Summary of Erving Goffman's dramaturgical analysis. The paper links Goffman's work to Harold Garfinkel's ethnomethodological project, drawing parallels to Garfinkel's case study of Agnes. The chapter also connects Goffman's work to the recent work of Diego Gambetta, who has pioneered signaling theory as a branch of rational choice theory.
