N2 - This paper describes the design, implementation, and experimental evaluation of a multiprocessor scheduler used with robotics applications and other real-time programs. The scheduler makes decisions concerning both the assignment of processes and the scheduling of those processes on each processor such that a near optimal number of process deadlines is satisfied. It assumes that process execution times, deadlines, and earliest possible start times are known. © 1991 IEEE
