Exploring Inorganic and Organometallic Chemistry

Research output: Book/ReportBook

Abstract

This is an open-source inorganic chemistry textbook which is published online and freely available to teachers and students at any institution (or to those pursuing self-study). Its preparation was supported by a Textbook Affordability Grant, and it was completed in October 2025 and published on the Michael Schwartz Library website in November 2025. I will be using it as a course text for CHM 441 (the undergraduate inorganic chemistry course) in the fall 2026 semester, and in CHM 641/741 (the graduate inorganic mechanisms course) and CHM 642/742 (the graduate theoretical inorganic chemistry course) the next time those courses are offered. I have used draft chapters of the book in CHM 641/741 and in inorganic chemistry independent study sections to positive student feedback.
