Abstract
EKOTOPFILM, WITH ITS 44 YEAR TRADITION IS THE OLDEST EVENT OF ITS KIND IN THE WORLD 44 years! How many festivals can live up to that? Festival has established more than 5000 partnerships in more than 58 countries. It is the largest festival of its kind within the Slovak Republic. More than 1 million of visitors had attended. On one platform, festival accomplished to connect public, private, and third sector through sustainable development themes. It has become on of the largest and most visited event. Since 1974 we apply the principles of sustainable development that has been declared officially in 1992 by World Summit in Rio de Janeiro. The festival will take place simultaneosly in Bratislava and Banska Bystrica from 30th April to 4th May 2018. 5 days full of film screenings and accompanying activities – discussions, lectures, exhibitions, markets, all things sustainable. There were more than 1300 films submitted and 86 selected.
