Abstract
GemIndex is a comprehensive Raman Database of precious and semi-precious gemstone minerals. The database contains approximately 200 gemstone species and varieties. In addition technical information regarding the major gemstone species is given. This work is part of an ongoing, long-term project to provide publicly accessible information about minerals and gemstones.
