Research output: Contribution to conferencePaper

Abstract

HB 367 requires the board of education in each local district to select a health curriculum that includes instruction on the dangers of prescription opioid abuse. The purpose of this session is to share a new Opioid Abuse Prevention Curriculum. Objectives, assessments and lesson plans for middle and high school health educators will be shared. We will also preview the K-5 curriculum that is implemented by elementary classroom teachers. We will share instructional strategies, tips for making community connections and how to advocate for school health education programs.
