Abstract
This paper attempts to address issues related the use of web-based technology in higher education from the perspective of institutional support and faculty development. The authors claim that web-based instructional technology is not being used in its potential to provide active learning. Presenters will provide suggestions on how to improve faculty development, support and effective use of up-to-date technologies that have a potential to provide active and effective learning.
