I have continued to coordinate the specialization in “Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (TCFL)” in the Urban Education Ph.D. Program within the College of Education and Human Services at CSU. As of April 30, 2022, two doctoral students are studying in this specialization program. One additional doctoral student has now been admitted to the program to begin studies in Fall 2022. This one newly admitted TCFL doctoral student will be temporarily placed in the Learning and Development specialization due to low enrollments making it impossible to offer some courses and sections of courses as originally scheduled. It is anticipated that once enrollments have increased, then all the newly admitted TCFL doctoral students would be returned to the TCFL specialization in the future.
