N2 - Creative achievement: The faculty developed module-focused unfolding interactive case studies and critical thinking questions for the Fall 2019 NUR 305 Medical Surgical Nursing II course & Spring 2020 NUR 415 (50) Medical Surgical Nursing III. Significance to nursing education: Unfolding case studies and critical thinking questions as a teaching strategy are ideal for novice learners in pre-licensure nursing programs. The effectiveness of these teaching strategies could be significantly enhanced if they are module-focused and interactive. Module-focused interactive case studies and critical thinking questions provide the students with an opportunity to apply what they learn in each module in real-life scenarios, promote the students' engagement in the course, provide the students with immediate feedback on their learning. They also have the potential to promote the students' critical thinking and clinical judgment in the care of their patients.
