Abstract

NOTABLE DESIGN COMMISSION One of 45 designers across America invited by the Clinton campaign to design for the 45 Pin Project, a limited series of pins in support of the first female major party nominee for President of the United States. Notable leaders in the field participated in this invitation-only project, including Paula Scher, Michael Bierut, Gail Anderson, and more. The project was widely covered by media outlets like FastCompany, Paste, Slate, Phiadon, and Wired. Anecdotally, during her nomination acceptance speech, Hillary made the statement “I believe in science!” I received an email from her Design Director the next day, indicating that button sales went through the roof that night. Designed specifically for Hillary, but with shelf life in mind for any aspiring female candidate, from student council to presidential, they read: She believes in science. She does her homework. She uses big words.
