Abstract

This historic marker commemorates the desegregation of Shaker Heights. In response to desegregation, white and Black residents began meeting and organizing a neighborhood coalition, which led to the creation of the Ludlow Community Association (LCA) in 1957; the organization was formally incorporated in 1959.
