Abstract

In January of 2020, I produced a major concert event, presenting the opera "Moon in the Mirror" by composer Stephen Dembski at Cleveland State. Bringing in guest artists from New York and professionals from Cleveland, I collaborated with the Confucius Institute at Cleveland State to make the event possible, produced a recording and a five-camera shoot film of the event. The libretto was based on the Chinese folk-tale of the "Lady in the Moon", and the event drew a large audience of both members of the Chinese community and the Cleveland contemporary music community, as well as CSU students and faculty.
