Abstract
The two novels No se los digas a nadie (1994) y El huracán lleva tu nombre (2004) by Peruvian writer Jaime Bayly represent the topic of bisexuality from different perspectives: from a functional bisexuality, limited by social conventions, to a bisexuality that becomes ingrained in the male characters of such works. Bisexuality in Bayly's works is represented in parallelism with a Peruvian society marked by a double life and a desires to confront the standard order of society.
