Promoting social connections across school environments for students with severe disabilities

Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

Abstract

Career Development and Transitions for Exceptional Individuals is the flagship journal of the Division of Career Development and Transition for the Council for Exceptional Children, the Special Education professional organization. This journal publishes original research, literature reviews, and research to practice articles focusing on education and support of individuals with disabilities transitioning to adulthood. According to Google Scholar, this publication has been cited once as of 9/21/18. I initiated this article as a companion piece to the research study with the same collaborators, "Effects of peer support arrangements across instructional formats and environments for students with severe disabilities." This article is a practitioner's guide to implementing and extending the intervention used in the aforementioned research article. I was primarily responsible for writing the original manuscript. Dr. Cannella-Malone and Dr. Brock, Ohio State University, collaborated on revising the manuscript for publication.
