Abstract

My presentation, "Racial disparities in design education," was part of a Pedagogy of Social and Environmental Justice panel session at the College of Art Association's (CAA) annual conference. I provided an historical context regarding the lack of diversity in design and advertising fields, and highlighted organizations and institutions that are successfully addressing racial/ethnic disparities in creative fields.
