title = "Suggestions in Using Equivalent Test Scores in Lieu of GRE: Gaokao, GSAT or JCEE",
author = "Wang, \{Lihching C\}",
year = "2016",
language = "English",
note = "On October 1, 2015, the new admission requirements for the Master{\textquoteright}s degree program in Chinese language teaching licensure were implemented including adding a new GRE test requirement for admission. The GRE{\textquoteright}s Math (152), reading (151), and English/writing (3.5) minimal scores for admission are too high to be reached by non-native-English-speaking applicants. Consequently, I have conducted extensive research to provide example distributions of scores in National Higher Education Entrance Examination (commonly known as Gaokao), in General Scholastic Ability Test (GSAT), and in Joint College Entrance Examinations (JCEE) to be used for applicants from China or Taiwan in lieu of GRE scores. The request to use equivalent test scores from Gaokao, GSAT or JCEE in lieu of the GRE has been submitted in Spring 2016 to the CEHS Dean{\textquoteright}s office and the request is under review. ; Conference date: 01-01-2016",
