Abstract

Teaching Exceptional Children is published by the Council for Exceptional Children, the Special Education professional organization. The journal is a companion to the original research outlet Exceptional Children. Teaching Exceptional Children publishes research to practice articles that provide practitioners and parents with implementation guides for evidence based practices for children with disabilities. I initiated this article and was primarily responsible for writing the original manuscript. Dr. Andzik, Northern Illinois University, collaborated on revising this manuscript for and through the publication process.
