Abstract
This study assessed the norm equivalence, correlation, and consistency of profiles generated by the International Adaptive Personality Inventory (IAPI, Poreh and Levin 2019) and the Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI; Morey, 1991). A sample of 109 college students completed the two questionnaires. Normative data was slightly more robust for the IAPI after we corrected for age. Additional analyses showed that the scales of similar domains were significantly correlated. Finally, the study showed that the profile generated but two measures were comparable. Overall, this study provides concurrent validity for the IAPI possesses adequate norms and accurately measures psychopathological states. Recommendations for future studies of the IAPI are offered, including the development of factorial-based subscales are offered.
