Abstract
I gave a presentation on my research into the astronomical alignments of the Newark Earthworks at a CSU symposium in the fall on faculty archaeology scholarship. The work examines the proposed orientations and questions of accuracy (inadequate preservation), precision (survey disagreement), magnetic declination (failure to correct for true north), probability (a random process would produce the same alignments), and complexity (the phenomenon takes decades is very difficult to observe) that argue against their validity.
