Abstract
The current article offers analysis of the Collegiate Leadership Competition (CLC) curriculum from a research perspective. CLC is a program within a multi-university setting, that allows students to participate in deliberate practice of leadership skills toward self-improvement. The goal of the research was to examine each aspect of the curriculum, to assess which programmatic facets might be of benefit to the participants, and to gain insight into how curricular components might fit together. t tests were conducted to assess the change within the study participants (n = 182) over the duration of the program. The findings offered support for the CLC approach to leadership development and focused specifically on the constructs of motivation to lead, leadership self-efficacy, and CLC focused outcomes.
