The Mutually Beneficial Process of Professor and Teaching Assistant Jointly Preparing a Course for Quality Matters Review

Abstract

Purpose: Share process two different faculty members undertook in working to develop two different courses to adhere to Quality Matters standards, working with the same teaching assistant Faculty and teaching assistant will share experiences, general lessons that should apply for any faculty working with developing courses using Quality Learning Objectives: 1. Participants will be able to name at least three ways that a Teaching Assistant can assist in the QM certification process.   2. Participants will be able to describe positive outcomes, for both professors and students, of actively involving a Teaching Assistant in preparing a course for Quality Matters review.
