The Right to Self-determination Under International Law: “Selfistans,” Secession and the Rule of the Great Powers

This book addresses the topic of self-determination in international law, and argues that various groups' quests for external self-determination over the past few decades have been dominated by the politics of the so-called Great Powers (the most powerful states on our planet).
