Worked closely with the C&F department to provide students’ information for an analysis of data related to students admitted to the Chinese Teacher Licensure M.A. Program from Spring 2011 to Spring 2019 to the Provost office for carrying out a data analysis about their English language proficiency (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS) when they were admitted to the Chinese Licensure program. This data analysis was carried out in response to a CSU initiative to increase required English language proficiency scores for international students, which would have resulted in an abrupt drop in enrollment for the Chinese Teacher Licensure M.A. Program in the Department of Curriculum and Foundations at CSU. As a result of this data analysis, in the Faculty Senate meeting on February 6, 2019 the Provost indicated that the Chinese Licensure program may be exempted from this change in policy.
