Abstract
Health care law and policy impact provider practices and the quality of patient experiences. This discussion focused on topics including the ethics and regulation of emerging biotechnology, the role of disability and perceptions of disability in shaping practice, the regulation of conflicts of interest through fraud and abuse laws, the ethics of public health strategies that privilege group over individual benefit, the impact of politics and state policy on health care access, and the role of policy as a driver and reflection of health status.
